Choose an Earning Strategy

An Earning Strategy manages a deposit's rates for you. It can keep your pricing competitive without taking custody of your USDC.

What a strategy does​

When you use a strategy:

  • The strategy sets rates for the payment methods and currencies it supports.
  • Your USDC stays in your deposit escrow.
  • Your floor rate remains in control. The strategy cannot price below it.
  • You can stop the strategy at any time and return to managing rates yourself.

Strategies can charge a fee on filled orders. Open a strategy's detail page to review its fee before applying it. The buyer pays the fee; it is not deducted from your earnings.

Who this is for​

Choose a strategy if you want another rate-management system to price your deposit. If you prefer to control your own premium or discount, use Automated Rate Management (ARM).

Choose a strategy while creating a deposit​

  1. Create a deposit and configure its payment methods and currencies.
  2. Under Settings, enable Earning Strategy.
  3. Review the selected strategy. Select Choose another strategy to compare the other compatible options.
  4. Select the strategy you want, review the deposit, and create it.
  5. After the deposit is created, select Use <strategy name> and confirm the follow-up transaction.

Each strategy card shows its filled volume, managed balance, and 7-day APR. These figures describe recorded performance and do not guarantee future results. Verified strategies show a green check.

A strategy is compatible when it has a rate for at least one selected payment-method and currency pair. On a multi-platform or multi-currency deposit, it may not manage every pair.

If Peer does not find one for the current deposit setup, it shows No compatible strategies. You can change the deposit configuration or continue without a strategy.

Choose or change a strategy on an existing deposit​

  1. Open the deposit from Earn.
  2. Open Position Details and select Choose strategy.
  3. In the Earning Strategy panel, select a compatible option.
  4. Select Use <strategy name> and confirm the transaction.

When a strategy is active, the Strategy section shows its fee, performance, and managed rates. Select the strategy name to open its full detail page.

To return to managing rates yourself, open the same section, select Stop Strategy, then confirm.
