Trusted Takers (Legacy)
Trusted Takers restricts who can take liquidity on a deposit to specific wallet addresses. It remains enforced on-chain for deposits that already use it, and this guide covers managing those deposits.
warning
Trusted Takers is legacy and can no longer be enabled on new deposits. Access groups and deposit access policies are the replacement: they restrict a deposit to groups of verified takers alongside individual addresses. The Trusted Takers tab only appears on deposits that already have a whitelist.
Who still uses this
- Makers with existing restricted deposits, including private orderbooks and OTC flows
- Makers accepting Peer Pay checkout volume exclusively through an existing Peer Relayer whitelist
Managing an existing whitelist
- Open the restricted deposit from Earn. The Trusted Takers tab appears because the deposit has a live whitelist.
- Add taker addresses to approve. EVM addresses,
.ethnames, and.peernames are supported. - To accept Peer Pay orders, select Add beside Peer Relayer.
- Select Add Takers and confirm the transaction.
- Remove addresses, or disable the whitelist entirely, from the same tab.
Key behaviors
- Takers not on the whitelist see the deposit as unavailable in the orderbook
- The Peer Relayer entry adds the relayer address used by Peer Pay checkout
- Whitelist changes are separate transactions; wait for each to confirm before continuing
- Disabling the whitelist opens the deposit to all takers and removes the Trusted Takers tab
Common issues
- Trusted Takers enabled but the list is empty: Add Peer Relayer or another address from the deposit's Trusted Takers tab
- Address resolution failed: ENS and
.peernames require the wallet to be connected to a chain that can resolve them. Paste a raw EVM address if resolution fails.
